Award for restoration work at West Stow

Member organisation Bury St Edmunds Trout Club has recently received a national award for its’ river restoration work on the West Stow stretch of the Lark.

Ian Hawkins will be leading a guided visit to show the restoration work and all are welcome!

6pm on Wednesday 21st September.

Meet at the car park of the West Stow Country Park.

The evening has been organised by the Bury Water Meadows Group (BWMG), but is open to all (£2 admission, free to BWMG Members).

The evening will finish with a review of river restoration plans for the urban stretch of the river in Bury St Edmunds involving both BWMG and other volunteers from the area.  Rob Clapham from the Environment Agency will give us the key points on what is planned and what benefits we can look for.

Free refreshments will be available.
