Eighty people, representing environmental NGOs, water companies, farmers and land agents, local government and the Environment Agency gathered at The Carnegie in Thetford on 18 March to discuss the challenges facing the CamEO catchment.
The theme Earth and Water was chosen to underline the inter-related significance of rivers within the landscape, and the importance of water in the soil and under the ground for the CamEO Catchment
A brilliant series of speakers in the morning, including Prof David Sear, University of Southampton (pictured), author of The Lark Fluvial Audit, was followed in the afternoon by discussion groups on a range of themes including water quality testing, restoring wetlands, Green Finance, and working together to tackle water resource issues testing.
